The Long Weekend | Last Minute Getaways

With a long weekend just around the corner, it's the perfect time to escape the confines of the city and jet off to a beach somewhere. We picked out our favourite resorts with short flights and no visa restrictions that are perfect for a weekend away.

Cheval Blanc Randheli | Maldives

The Maldives are the first thing that springs to mind for many when the hear the words island paradise, and for good reason. White sand beaches, stunning villas and crystal clear waters make it one of the world's most desired destinations, and the Cheval Blanc, is among the finest resorts to call the Maldives it's home. With gorgeous villas on the beaches and over the water, the resort boasts an "island chic" vibe, reflected in the decor and activities. One of our favourite features of the Cheval Blanc is it's team of Alchemists, who design bespoke activities for guests, from water sports to private dining experiences on deserted islands.

Soneva Kiri | Koh Kood | Thailand

Soneva Kiri may be just an hour away from Bangkok, but it feels much further. This Thailand resort offers an unrivalled combination of luxury, environmentally friendly design and unforgettable, authentic Thai experiences. Located on the idyllic beach or sunny slopes in the rainforest, all villas have stunning infinity pools, impossibly chic furnishings, personal electric buggies and impeccable service courtesy of Mr./Ms. Friday private butlers. Nihi Sumba Island | Off Bali | Indonesia

Founded by Chris Burch of "TorY Burch" fame, Nihi Sumba Island has taken the top spot in the Travel+Leisure list of the worlds best hotels for the last 2 years running. And it's not hard to see why, with it's stunning sea view villa's and wealth of experiences, including some of the worlds best surfing and big game fishing. With it's amazing food, totally private setting and perfect natural beauty, this resort can only be described using the word paradise.

Ceylon Tea Trails

One of the most revolutionary new concepts in luxury travel, Ceylon Tea Trails is the world' first tea bungalow resort. Comprising of five restored colonial era tea planter residences, the period furnishings, gracious butler service and gourmet cuisine create an ambience that has made Tea Trails the gold standard for luxury bungalows in Sri Lanka. Situated at an altitude of 1250 metres near Hatton in central Sri Lanka, the resort borders the World Heritage Central Highlands and offers breathtaking panoramas of mountains and lush tea fields. Rolling Hills of Red | The Best Places to See Fall Foliage

While after the highs of summer, autumn may come as a disappointment to some, in many places of the world it's actually the most beautiful of seasons. As the mercury drops, leaves begin to change, and in some places the entire scenery becomes a sea of reds and yellows. From castles nestled among flaming hills to concrete jungles contrasted with the bursting hues, these are our favourite places to see fall foliage.

Bavaria | Germany

While fall in Munich is synonymous with Oktoberfest, the real reason to visit this city in Autumn is actually a short drive away from it. The Bavarian Alps and their foothills hide many secrets, but the one worth visiting most is Neuschwanstein Castle. Arguably the most beautiful castle in the world, the hills surrounding this castle turn a stunning shade of red, making it even more beautiful than it already is.

PureLuxe Tip- Check into the Schloss Elmau for one of Europe's best spa experiences, or the Charles Hotel In Munich for stunning views of the Botanical Garden. Members get benefits including upgrades at both hotels.

Ashford Castle | Ireland

Ireland's wet weather means trees never completely lose their leaves, and different species lose them at different points in the life cycle. This means that multiple hues of red, green, orange and yellow color the landscape, creating a truly special effect. One of the best ways to experince this is to stay at Ashford Castle, a 13th century castle now converted into a luxury hotel. From riding through the 300 acre grounds on horseback under the red tress, to falconry lessons and more, experience fall like Irish nobility at this castle. Members get access to benefits including upgrades at Ashford Castle.

New York and Northeastern USA

New York isn't the first place that comes to mind when one thinks of natural beauty, but central park is an exception to the rule. The green lungs of New York bear a striking contrast to the surrounding maze of glass and concrete which is even more stunning in fall, when its all red. Take a romantic walk through the paths of central park, or for something truly special check into the Central Park view Rooms at the Mandarin Oriental, with floor to ceiling views of the park and it's foliage. Members get access to benefits including upgrades at MO New York. For a limited time get a third night free on bookings of 3 or more nights* Conditions apply.

New York is also the perfect base to explore the stunning Northeast Countryside of the USA. The best way to see this region is by following the Relais and Chateaux Routes du Bonheur which covers 6 stunning maisons across New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont and New Hampshire. For those comfortable with left hand drive it's the perfect getaway, and with our travel managers on had to arrange everything from sports car rentals to stays, upgrades and more it couldn't be more effortless.

Kyoto | Japan

Yes, we did save the best for the last. Kyoto may be most famous for it's cherry blossom season in spring, but fall isn't far behind. And it's a lot more predictable and far less crowded, making it a lot easier to catch without booking far in advance. Kyoto's famed shrines and gardens take on the look of a firestorm, with the Japanese Maple Trees turning crimson.

PureLuxe Tip- Check into the Garden View or Four Seasons Rooms at the Four Seasons Kyoto for stunning views of the 800 year old garden.  Members get access to benefits including upgrades at Four Seasons Kyoto
