On interactions with the celebrity guests

The concierge team of a luxury hotel has a crucial role in ensuring that guests have an exceptional and seamless experience. This can be a daunting task as most of the guests' requests are made at the last minute, and we need to be well-prepared for everything. 

I recall an instance where we had a couple who were staying with us for their honeymoon. It was only during the check-out process that we discovered that they were a prince and a princess. Copacabana Palace has a tradition of glamour, and we strive to maintain excellent relationships outside the hotel to ensure that we can meet the demands of our noble guests.

On off-duty adventures

As a curator of the city, I enjoy exploring new places and going for bike rides around the lagoon. However, I also love going to the beach, and there's one in particular that's a bit tricky to get to, but definitely worth the effort - Praia da Joatinga (Joatinga beach). It's a hidden paradise nestled in the midst of a cliff, and I highly recommend paying it a visit. 

On Carnival time in Rio

The carnival in Rio is an unparalleled experience. The city comes alive with vibrant colours, music, and celebrations. The Copacabana Palace hosts the most traditional and classic carnival ball on Saturday night, while first-class samba school parades take place on Sunday and Monday. These parades start at 9:00 p.m. and continue until sunrise, so it's important to reserve plenty of energy. Trust me, though, it's an unforgettable experience that you won't want to miss.

On noteworthy, indelible experiences

The Copacabana Palace has been the venue for countless parties and events over the past century. However, there are two legendary celebrations that everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime: our Carnival Ball, held since 1924, and our traditional and glamorous New Year's Eve party.
